Consider the adoption of an ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Plan SECTION 2.101 INTRODUCTION, SECTION B SPECIALIZED USES; POLICY 2.110-I1 thru 4 (TCC); OBJECTIVE 2.115-A and POLICY 2.115-A1 thru 4 (L/R); POLICY 2.117-A1 thru 4 (ROS), POLICY 2.116-A4 (INST); and POLICY 2.118-A4 (PRESV) districts to clarify the practice and intent of recreation and habitation within them throughout unincorporated Polk County including Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern POLICY 2.132-D6, also amending Community Facilities POLICY 2.125-E1, and definitions within Division 4.400 Glossary. A County initiated request to amend the Comprehensive Plan text with regard to institutional uses, recreational uses, and lodging as part of an ongoing coordinated effort to better serve the recreational needs of the residents and visitors to Polk County.

This property is located on the north side of Dunson Road, east of US Highway 27, north of Interstate 4 in Section 06, Township 26, Range 27.
The applicants, APG CNB Holdings, LLC and Polk County Land Development Division, requests a Large Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the Future Land Use designation on approximately 24 acres from Residential Medium (RMX), Neighborhood Activity Center (NACX) and Preservation (PRESX) to Residential Low (RLX) in the Ronald Reagan SAP and Transit Supportive Development Area (TSDA). The subject property is located on the south side of Buckingham Drive, approximately 750 feet east of Mayfair Boulevard, in the West Haven development, south of Ronald Reagan Parkway, east of U.S. Highway 27.
A county-initiated request to amend Section 4.303, Administration and Interpretation, of the Comprehensive Plan to modify how appeals to Administrative Interpretations are resolved and Section 4.305, Plan Amendments, to clarify when and how amendments to the Comprehensive Plan occur.
County initiated text amendment to the Polk County Comprehensive Plan modifying Division 4.200, the Capital Improvements Element (CIE), to update the text of the CIE and the five-year schedule of capital improvements for FY 2013/2014 – 2017/2018, to reflect the timing and funding of capital projects to meet or maintain adopted level-of-service (LOS) standards for certain public facilities.
Staff-initiated request to abrogate Appendix D (Future Capacity Road Needs) and Section 705.D.3 (Substandard Right-of-Way Width) of the Land Development Code.
