Whereas the Town has received a Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Amendment applications for lands in the southeast quadrant of Stouffville between Tenth Line and the York Durham Line in March of 2017, known as the McKean lands (19T(W)-17001 and ZBA 17.001;
Whereas the applicant for the proposed Plan of Subdivision is proposing their stormwater management facility to be located on a property within the City of Pickering to the east of the subject property;
Whereas the applicant, through their plan of subdivision, is proposing the existing stormwater management facility at Mantle Road and York-Durham Line be incorporated into the proposed stormwater management facility in the City of Pickering and the existing stormwater management facility at Mantle Avenue and York-Durham Line be converted to an alternate use;
Whereas the owner, of the existing stormwater management facility on Mantle Avenue, is the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and given that the owner is the Town, the Town has the ultimate authority to make decisions on any changes to the existing stormwater management facility on Mantle Avenue.
Therefore be it resolved that the Development Service Department prepare a report for Council’s consideration, at the October 24, 2017 meeting, assessing issues, risk, cost and process to the Town of the conversion of the stormwater management facility on Mantle Avenue.
